I was expecting a lot more from this to be honest. The plot was predictable and when it focussed on the characterisation on the soldiers it was really good, but it didn't give much information on the overall Japanese empire and beliefs, just shown what they were without context.
I am probably in the minority for not loving this film, but it just lacked something for me.
