Review of Letters from Iwo Jima (2006) by Beth E — 02 Jan 2015
It was an interesting aspect of the war from the "enemy's" point of view. However, the story mostly focused on a character that wasn't even a real person. I would have liked a little bit more of a factual take on the story like Flags of Our Fathers appeared to have taken.
But I enjoyed the way this story was told as opposed to the mix up editing of Flags with all the flashbacks. I think a chronological story telling worked much better this time around.
