Review of Letter to Jane: An Investigation About a Still (1974) by Flike S — 16 Feb 2009
In what was the last collaboration between Godard and Gorin, we see probably one of the purest stabs at political cinema around. It's simplistic, radical, and almost hard to bear at times. The thought provoking dialogue and minimal use of images, including the key image of Jane Fonda, makes this nothing short of a thought provoking piece of artwork.
Whether in disagreement or agreement, this is definitely a very important piece of cinema to analyze.
