Review of Let's Be Cops (2014) by Restricted 1 — 09 Apr 2015
Most comedies of this type start out funny and get more serious as the film goes on. Generally, this leads to the film being better in the first half than the second. This film is actually the opposite.
A lot of the comedy is terrible. The gags fall flat and most work better in the trailer than they do in the film.
However, the second half works well in an action setting, with the boys out of their depth. It lacks a certainly seriousness, and Andy Garcia doesn't look like he really wants to be there, but it was nice to see them move away from the terrible jokes of the first half.
