Review of Lethal Weapon 3 (1992) by Alex V — 15 Feb 2010
Fuck Rene Russo. I liked Mel Gibson as a suicidal lonely desperate maniac and not with his female clone licking his psychopathic ball bag. The gal loves three stooges, martial arts and also has a sarcastic sense of humor like good ol' Mel.
These two are peas in a pod! Fuck that shit. What a fucking waste of a character, they just had to pair him up with another hole. Not the worst Lethal Weapon but easily the most mediocre, down to the villain himself.
He's a corrupt ex-cop, yep. Not Busey burning his arm with a cigarette lighter and torturing Mel with long haired chinese men or even slimy apartheid horrendous South Africans who die in such a satisfying way in the sequel.
Jack Travis. Yawn CIty, population me. Joe Pesci returns double the annoying, another wasted subplot on Murtaugh's hole of a daughter (some star she turned out to be, ha ha ha). Nothing really happens, the cop killer bullets were kind of rad but they don't do any serious damage.
Rene isn't in a body bag at the end of the film, a wasted opportunity. Entertainment wise it does okay, random exposition that isn't very interesting then mediocre action scene and repeat. The Murtaugh family is very uninteresting, leave his fucking pig wife and stupid kids out of the movie and you've got a better movie.
The beginning of the end, the pussification of Lethal Weapon like the nineties did to everything.
