Review of Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) by Michael C — 25 Aug 2008
I believe that it is the best of the Lethal Weapon series, also my personal favorite from the series as well. Everything works perfect in this picture, from the action sequences to the funny moments of the film.
Mel Gibson is at his best in this film, I believe that this is one of his best characters. He brings a lot more to Riggs in this film, like the dislocating his shoulder and his anger and revenge for both his wife and Rika.
Danny Glover is great as well in the film. I like the new character, Leo Getz played perfectly by Joe Pesci. I like the fact that he is comedic relief for Riggs and Murtaugh. This film also answers some questions about the death of Riggs' wife and it shows why Riggs was the way he was and how angry he still is.
Its the best buddy-cop films of all time, including the first Lethal Weapon.
