Review of Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) by Clay B — 06 Dec 2010
This almost seems like a good way to deliver a proper sequel but bring the whole deal to a close. While the connections involving Rigg's wife are really forced in there (think Sandman and Uncle Ben), and the fate of his new love interest is pretty sudden and unfortunate, they make a villain who's very easy to despise.
Every time he says "diplomatic immunity" you'll want to dive through the screen at him. So much so, that the ending feels a bit... lacking. Just a bit. In any case, this one's still in the better half of the series, before Joe Pesci overstayed his welcome and the whole thing turned from action to comedy.
