Review of Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) by Adam S — 20 May 2012
This movie is inferior to it's predecessor - but only barely.
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover again create a brilliant chemistry as Riggs and Murtaugh, and the movie isn't afraid to get deeper - dealing with apartheid, and going into more detail with the death of Riggs' wife - allowing Gibson to slip back into the familiar role of Mad Max in all but name.
We've seen some of it before, but by this point, Gibson and Glover weren't "too old for this sh*t".
