Review of Lethal Weapon (1987) by Peter P — 06 Oct 2012
Just watched this again, and it reminded me how much I wanted to be Martin Riggs when I was younger. This is the movie that kinda started it all for the buddy cop genre of films, and over the years their have been many imitators, but there is only one lethal weapon.
The movie itself is pretty good, it has great action pieces, a crazy cop, and family man cop, which are both played great by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover so much so that it started the franchise. People loved seeing these two together and it just seems to work really well for them being a duo.
Yeah, the movie is pretty dated now, but it still holds up pretty well and is definitely worth the watch. Riggs is the man.
