Review of Lethal Weapon (1987) by Todd A — 05 Aug 2011
Setting the benchmark for 80s cop movies, Lethal Weapon has aged surprisingly well in the near-25 years since its initial success. Gibson and Glover are still a great match (or perhaps mismatch) for one another, with Glover playing a gun-toting Bill Cosby, and Gibson as his charismatically suicidal polar-opposite.
The action sequences have plenty of pizzazz while the jokes rarely hit a bum note. All in all this is solid action entertainment for any generation, and deserves to remembered for many years to come.
