Loaded with impressive stunts, memorable moments and top-notch banter, Richard Donner's classic buddy picture is loud, funny and tremendously entertaining. Gibson and Glover share excellent chemistry and the film's sprightly energy and pace overshadow its thin narrative.
Gibson's crazed cop steals the screen and the movie benefits from surprisingly good character development and tons of exciting fight sequences. Solid, action-packed 80's fun.
