Review of Let the Right One In (2008) by Nathan J — 26 Nov 2012
Having now seen it twice I can say this film masterfully manages a balance between brutality and tenderness.
There is nothing as evil as what one child will do to another, and Oskar's plight is heartbreaking. The fact that he is becoming a little sociopath does nothing to stop him being a compelling protaganist.
Eli's story is truncated from that of the book, but understandably so. If you enjoyed this film as much as I did, please read the book.
