Review of Let the Bullets Fly (2010) by Steve W — 31 Aug 2013
I didn't like this movie at all. Its basically a frenetic game of cat and mouse between a bandit leader and a crime boss, but the movie doesn't live up with either suspense of comedy. Despite being called "Let the Bullets Fly", there is barely any action in this movie at all.
The bandit leader is able to derail a train with an axe in the film's opening scene, with bad CGI to boot. The result is a crazy and zany mixed bag mix of period piece comedy and action, but only mildly amusing and overly gory in the next.
I wanted it to end a little less than halfway through, and not eve Chow Yun Fat could save this movie. I think this was a just a strange and sloppy film that doesn't satisfy in a lot of areas.
