Review of Let Me In (2010) by Paul A — 11 Jun 2012
Since I have a soft spot for New Mexico and 80's period films, I did like this remake quite a bit. It is remarkably similar to "Let the Right One In" though, and I can see why that infuriates some viewers and critics.
It is a horror film that denies pleasure in its violence and narrative structure. Each killing inspires more thought than chills and both the killers and victims show humanity making for a prickly and somber movie watching experience.
