Review of Let Me In (2010) by Juan Fran H — 17 Oct 2012
"Let Me In" feels like a very American remake of a foreign film which is for the worst. Even so, the film also tries to differ itself from the original with additional scenes that really work for the films benefit.
"Let Me In" is a good remake, don't be mistaken, but with it's terrible use of CGI, use of multiple cuts instead of letting a one shot play out, some unneccessary character and story changes, and actors that are good but are not as good as the actors from the original all bring this remake down from the original.
Still, you will enjoy this film, including the really cool car sequences, but even though "Let Me In" is good, be reminded that "Let The Right One In" is close to masterpiece material and quite possibly the best vampire movie ever.
