Review of Les Paul: Chasing Sound! (2007) by David S — 25 Aug 2010

[i]Les Paul: Chasing Sound[/i] is an informative biopic about the man who arguably changed the face of modern music. Unfortunately, it's a little sparse on original concert footage. I've heard a lot about Les Paul's virtuoso performances and was a little disappointed to discover that this flick covers Les Paul the Musician only half as much as it covers Les Paul the Inventor.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Les Paul the Inventor, but I already knew that stuff. So now, even after watching a documentary about the man, I'm still going to have to hunt for his concert footage on YouTube! Anyway, if you know nothing about his life, [i]Chasing Sound[/i] makes a fine introductory video.
