Review of Les Misérables (2012) by Steve C — 20 Sep 2013
For a musical theatre guy, I still find the marriage of musical conventions and the realism of film to just be silly. Especially with something so self-important ad this. Siegfried is just there. And I love Russell Crowe, but he is sorrily miscast.
Hugh Jackman, though, is terrific and the reason to see this well-made adaptation.
