Beautiful to look at, with some really good performances from Jackman and Hathway. I did think it was overlong and bloated, but it was moving in parts. Russell Crowe's vocals should have been dubbed.
His acting was fine, but his voice took me right out of the movie. Maybe cast a real musical theater actor for, you know, musicals Hollywood? Edited to state that I found out Russell Crowe has a background in musical theater.
That is surprising because his singing is just awful in this movie.
