Review of Les Misérables (2012) by Larry C — 29 Mar 2016
You just can't go wrong with the stage play and many performances were outstanding. Anne Hathaway and Hugh Hackman were very good and the voices of Samantha Barkes (Eponine) and Eddie Redmayne (Marius) were outstanding.
The three drawbacks were the on set recording of the songs, the Tenardiers who acted like they were in a Tim Burton movie, and worst of all...Russell Crowe's singing. Still worth the price of admission.
I also really liked the sets and locations for filming.
