For the record, one star is for the production value, half a star is for the story, and the rest is for the acting.
I have fond memories of this music (my mother owned the soundtrack on CD in the 90's), but I can't be captured by people standing and singing on film. Even then, I don't feel that many of the songs are even that memorable. I'm not feeling it, you guys, I'm sorry, and I really wanted to like it.
