The movie will explain to the children with this epic story and with its characters who have become prime examples: Jean Valjean, a man condemned by poverty and classification as a convicted felon but redeemed by the kindness of another and by his own will; Cosette, the child victim of poverty; Bishop Myriel, the social activist who believes in the essential goodness of man; and Javert, the petty, regulation bound, shortsighted bureaucrat who relentlessly and unreasonably pursues a good man for a violation that should have been forgotten long ago.

Les Misérables is a multifaceted and intensely emotional show which contains adult subject matter and may not be suitable for children under the age of 13. The adult subject matter includes issues related to suicide, intense violence (with gunfire and child death), child abuse, prostitution, sexuality and abandonment.

Watch the movie with your children and talk about its message. Discuss the lives of the characters and how they can be role models to make life meaningful and fruitful. It?s an interesting movie yet it could be boring to minors. But that?s always the case if it?s a classic. Generally, it?s a must for the people who loves history.
