Review of Les Misérables (1998) by Shelley S — 01 Aug 2010
This was a great movie. I can't wait to see the real production though, the theatrical production, 'cause I know a lot of the music from the theater production and I just think it would be a wonderful play to see, but anyway back to the movie.
This isn't one of my favorite movies, but I think I could consider it as one of my favorite stories, it has a great plot, and a lot of depth in the story. The mood was just perfect and the picture was very beautiful too.
Jean Valjean's character was absolutely beautiful, it's the story of a man who turned his life around and was given a second chance and the persistence of Javert was unbelievable, but the ending was absolutely perfect.
I really need to read the book and see the play to compare them to the movie. The book is really long, so for once I do not regret seeing the movie before the book because the acting was outstanding.
