Review of Léon: The Professional (1994) by Michael G — 09 Nov 2012
An extremely cool Jean Reno and a bobbed hair cut Natalie Portman, collide with director/writer Luc Benson in 1994 to bring us a modern day neorealism classic. Packed with guns, crooked cops, an orphan, a modest hit-man, a house plant, and many glasses of milk, Leon: The Professional is an emotional thriller that softens a tough heart and strengthens a weak one.
After the family of a teenage girl is murdered, the 'professional' living down the hall gives her refuge and revenge. I awaited for a sequel and still have hopes. I give this film a 9 out of 10 and encourage anyone over 18 to have it in their collection.
