Review of Léon: The Professional (1994) by Eytan D — 19 May 2015
The first Luc Besson outing, and a great one. "The Professional" is a stylish and entertaining action thriller that introduces the intriguing idea of a trained assassin teaching his skills to a justice-seeking little girl (played by a young yet nevertheless astonishing Natalie Portman in her first movie).
There are guns aplenty here and lots of action, but this movie never loses its heart. That is an accomplishment in action cinema.
