Review of Lenny (1974) by Christine R — 22 Dec 2009
I always enjoy a good biopic film, and this was a good one. Dustin Hoffman is fantastic as manic comedian Lenny Bruce. I also loved Valerie Perrine. She was tragic, and likable in her role as Honey. The legal scenes at the end were a little stale, but you can appreciate the way Bruce pioneered the way for today's comedians by fighting censorship to the very end.
