Review of Lenny (1974) by Joel S — 15 Sep 2006
After reading some books on Lenny (e.g, The Trials of Lenny Bruce) I realised this wasn't an entirely accurate portrayal. Hoffman is great as Lenny, and Perrine is good as his wife, but the movie is just to neat and paints Lenny as a true matyr to the cause of free speech.
