When God loses faith in mankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. The Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany) still has faith in the goodness of humanity, and thus defies God's will by falling to earth and cutting off his wings. His mission is to make his way to the Paradise Falls diner, near the edge of the Mojave Desert. At the diner we meet Kyle (Tyrese Gibson) a divorced man heading to L.A. to battle custody over his son, Bob Hanson (Dennis Quaid) the diner's atheist owner, Jeep Hanson (Lucas Black) Bob's son, Percy Walker (Charles S. Dutton) the religious single-handed cook, Charlie (Adrianne Palicki) a downtrodden waitress who is pregnant, Howard and Sandra Anderson (Kate Walsh) and their rebellious teenage daughter, Audrey (Will Holland). An old woman enters the diner. She seems pleasant at first, but then begins taunting the diner's patrons. When Howard confronts her, she rips his throat open, screeches that they are all going to die and climbs up the ceiling like an insect. Kyle shoots her with a handgun before she can kill Bob. Percy, Kyle, Bob, Sandra, Audrey, Jeep, and Charlie try to get the injured Howard to the hospital, but are forced to go back after passing through a swarm of flies. Michael then arrives and arms the patrons as the entire sky plunges into blackness. Hundreds of cars approach, filled with possessed people who begin to attack the diner. Michael leads the patrons in the fight against the possessed and to save mankind from the wrath of God...

The biblic structure of the Archangels and the Apoclypse is quite fascinating I think and for sure makes a good movie platform. It makes me think of "The Prophecy" with Christopher Walken as Gabriel. I like the idea on how angels fall to earth to save it. Thus, we have a similar structure with "Legion". However, the filmmakers rush through the story, present characters in a way that makes you not care at all, the plot is confusing, and there's too much dialogue that doesn't add anything to the storyline. The result is just too lightweight and the action is not that exciting. Pass this one.
