Review of Legion (2010) by Joetaeb D — 12 May 2015

Not quite gory, horror, action. Mixture of everything but lack substance. But still good enough for entertainment. Paul Bettany is an arcangel that descend upon Earth and cut his wings off. He took 2 bags full of guns and 2 cops stop him.

1 cop is possess by another angel and it kill the hostage cop. Paul kill the possessed cop. In the wild desert, Adrianne Palicki is pregnant and Lucas Black is with her, working in his dad diner Dennis Quaid.

Charles S. Dutton also works there. Jon Tenney, Kate Walsh and Willa Holland are a family whose car broke down. Tyrese Gibson is a lost drifter who want to use the phone. Suddenly there's a big dark cloud approaching and sand storm.

The phone is cut off and TV no broadcast. An old lady enter the diner. She seems friendly until she curse Adrianne baby gonna get burn. She also insult Kate and Jon want her to apologize. The old lady bite his neck and climb the roof.

Dennis take his shotgun but can't shoot her. Lucas pick it up but don't dare to fire. Tyrese shot her dead with his gun. They hop into Tyrese car to go to hospital. Towards the cloud, it is actually swarm of flies.

They detour back to the diner. Paul arrive and after a misunderstood introduction, hand them all the guns he took. As nightfalls, they lock themselves and go up the roof. An ice-cream van came. The demon is shot dead before it attack.

Then more cars came and it is a full out defensive attack. A few break into the diner and grab Adrianne and Jon. Paul cut off the arm of the demon and save Adrianne but not Jon. Paul tell them God is exterminating human this time round as he is losing faith.

Those are angels and not demons. Paul switch sides and is here to protect Adrianne and her baby who is the last hope for mankind. Because he refuse to accept the order, he switch sides. Kate saw Jon still alive and been tied up so she push away the table to go out.

Charles grab her and Jon exploded. His acid spill on Charles and kills him instantly. Tyrese and Willa is on duty at roof top when a car came in and seemingly normal human. Then a group of punks attack the family.

Tyrese get down to save the boy. The boy is the demon and bite his neck. Willa slide down but have no more ammo. She get inside the car and is surrounded. Adrianne want to go out save her and Paul is forced do it instead.

Adrianne successfully give birth. The possessed can't get near the baby but another angel Kevin Durand is send to kill. Paul mission was to kill Adrianne before the baby is born. Kate grab the baby and want to salvage the situation.

Kevin came and Paul shot dead Kate, Lucas grab hold the baby. Kevin kill Dennis. Paul want Lucas to bring the rest to safety, to find prophets. They manage to walk to the car without been harm. Paul is defeated by Kevin.

He vanishes and Lucas arms appear instructions. Dennis fire his lighter and kill Kevin and the rest in the explosion. Kevin suddenly attack the car. Willa grab him and Lucas jam brake to flung them both out.

Kevin still didn't die and going to kill Adrianne and baby. Lucas fight him and Paul descend as an angel to defeat Kevin. He didn't kill him and tell Lucas to have faith. Lucas and Adrianne along with the baby drive in a car pack full of guns.
