Beautifully filmed with lovely scenery. Brad Pitt and Aidan Quinn actually outshone Anthony Hopkins. Also Pitt was a genuine bad-ass in this film -- running bootleg whiskey, killing motherfuckers (Germans and bootleggers) and ripping our their hearts, plus killing bears and shit.
Also sadder than I thought it would be (which, along with Pitt's long hair, is why it's considered a "chick flick" I suppose).
