Review of Legend of the Lost (1957) by Joseph M — 12 Apr 2009
Unexpected movie from my Blockbuster Online queue but, since I like older movies, I enjoyed it. I'd agree with the synopsis but noted that I've seen many 50-60's movies that left many aspects for character development unexplored but also left more to the imagination of the viewer.
One thing that I felt was particularly interesting was the subtle theological elements, especially where John Wayne is commenting to Sophia Loren that when you put your trust in people or in worldly riches, you are in for disappointment. God won't serve as a front for your worldly desires.
