Doesn't particularly glamourise them, but nor does it explain them. Seemingly unconcerned with actual authenticity and far more interested in creating its own nouveaux-noir version of the London sixties, complete with fashionable but unconvincing mix of period and contemporary slang.
Not bad, but rather passes you by.
