I always love a Tom Hardy movie where he portrays some type of very unique (weird) character such as Ron Kray. I was surprised to be just as interested in his portrayal of Reggie, however. I think he did a great job of showing how one man can flip from start to finish.

British gangster movies always make me think it's just a lot of talking and very little action, which this was not by any means. The only thing that hurt the scenes with long dialogue for me was that I could only understand about 50% of what they were saying through the accents. So I say that to say: Use the subtitles when you get it on disc.

If you like Tom Hardy, you'll like this. If you like gangster movies, same deal. I think the only way that you don't enjoy this movie on first watch is if you come in expecting 2 hours of action-packed madness.

Also, it's just a movie.
