Although the plot's entirely predictable, it's a very funny comedy with some great dialogue. A "clueless" for the university crowd(?).
And if you have any doubts about Witherspoon as an actress, compare her performance here with hers in the black comedy "Freeway" and the critically acclaimed "Election.".
