I'm not sure what the biggest problem with this movie is...usually comedic director Ivan Reitman trying to be more dramatic, or usually more dramatic actors Robert Redford and Debra Winger trying to be more comedic.
Either way the movie doesn't work. Redford and Winger, fine actors that they are, just don't have the comic sensibilities suited for a Reitman film...and Reitman is at his strongest with high-concept comedic material like "Ghostbusters," "Stripes," or "Twins.
