Review of Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same (1976) by Jason T — 12 Feb 2008
Goes without saying that you can't truly enjoy this unless you're a Led Zep. fan. For any music fan whose ever doubted the utter greatnes that is Led Zeppelin, I implore you to watch this movie.
The fantasy sequences at the start are, to me, unimportant and a waste (they must've been stoned while brainstorming that part). However, once we get to the meat of the matter at the Garden, it's all uphill from there.
Robert Plant kicks ass as usual, and is awesome live. Jimmy Page rocks away and appears to be in his own little world - he's truly an amazing guitarist. Bonham lays back in the cut doing what he does.
And John Paul Jones provides the usual percussion. Though I love Led Zeppelin, some songs are dragged on, but the quality of their music is like none today.
