One of the best pieces from Antonioni... people cease to communicate between each other... cease to understand each other... even themselves as they progress towards increasing detachment from nature under the progress of modernization of society.
.. sounds of the table fan, electric razor, moving cars, share market eclipse the natural sounds of nature like running water and birds that silently flow beneath... a total eclipse... a clear statement in true Antonioni Style .
