Review of L'Eclisse (1962) by Reginald R — 31 Jul 2008
Devastating critque of modernity intruding on human relations and rendering them difficult, if not martyred. Vitti and Delon, each gorgeous in their prime, move about Milanese landscapes in exquisite compositions and Fusco's spare music score.
In the end, people are eliminated by objects and structures altogether: the eclipse.
