Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Jesse N — 09 Feb 2009
Tough, tough movie to watch. IMHO, you're immediately forced to not empathize with choices made by Cage's character (Ben). And when it comes down to it, the movie isn't so much about Ben but about Shue's character (Sera).
It's really Sera that delivers the drama in this movie, with Ben being more of a foil for her. Don't know if this is a movie to watch more than once, but now it's off my list.
