Gene Tierney is delightfully evil as one of the most devious femme fatals ever committed to film. The story is a pretty standard potboiler, but the film is greatly elevated some stunning Technicolor photography, a beautiful score by Alfred Newman, and nice supporting performance by Vincent Price, but most of all by the great Gene Tierney.
