Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley are such nuanced and accomplished actors that they make this thin script watchable. However we never have enough of an arc for either to dig into a real story. The cinematography and the editing felt clunky and uninspired.
Also, the few instances of fantasy seemed to only be devices to deliver exposition. I love the idea of this movie and the metaphor...it just needed a lot more work.
