It's naive to expect an original plot from every movie, and yes only from the box cover you can figure out that Leap Year is not going to be the new Inland Empire, but.. I do think it is possible to make a decent cliche flick by adding a little personal touch to distinguish it from its predecessors and justify it's existence by offering just entertainment.
Leap Year does not succeed in adding this touch except for maybe to ridicule the Irish and therefore ends up as a fast-forward-to-the-end flick.
