Review of Leap of Faith (1992) by Alysia V — 05 Apr 2010
I like this movie for the transformation that everyone goes through and how, by the end of it, Steven Martin's character really has changed for the better. He does a good job of playing the role of the over-the-top preacher and certainly shows that you have to be very careful to not make religion into a circus act.
Sadly, there are people out there like him and it's those people that give Christianity a bad name. I thought it was neat, though, how Martin was humbled by an actual miracle that did happen. I think this movie just shows that something good and pure can always come out of every situation and that God can use even disappointing actions and turn them around to His will.
And for that, I liked this movie.
