This movie is by far one of the most cliche and predictable movies out there. It follows the formula of every other follow your dreams movie and does nothing new. The plot is basically, orphan girl wants to dance but can't afford lessons.

The male best friend helps her go to place to get lessons while he tries to become an inventor. She becomes the rival of a snobby girl who only dances because she has a stage mom. Meets a mysterious care taker who turns out to be a former prima ballerina.

Through a hard work montage, she magically becomes an excellent dancer. The orphan girl meets a boy who has no bearing on the plot and dates him. But she chooses the best friend because of friendship.

And everything is happy in the end. I can't even imagine how the writers managed to think this was something interesting when it's been done a million times before and there are so many characters you can take out without even changing the plot.

Not to mention this film is a bit of an insult to anybody who does ballet for a living because you can't just get super flexible and skilled at ballet in just a few days, it requires years of formal training.
