Review of Le Samouraï (1967) by Lauren - — 31 Oct 2007
The film centres on Jeff (Alain Delon) a perfectionist Hitman who never gets caught until one night he is seen by a witness, the film follows Jeff attempting to provide himself with an alibi whilst getting in even more trouble.
This film is masterpiece of stylized cinematic cool with a dream like yet clinical quality that seeps into every pour of available celluloid. A film that has influenced many people from John Woo (The Killer) to Jim Jarmusch (Ghost Dog) it has a fantastic central performance form the ice cold emotionally frigid (though not by the end) and incredibly accomplished Alian Delon he doesn't say a lot but he really doesn't have too, just watch and see how film can be extraordinary.
