Review of Le Samouraï (1967) by Joseph W — 18 Mar 2008
Very well executed (heh heh) take on the gangster genre. Alain Delon's performance is fittingly stoic and detached, and the way Melville unravels the story is fascinating. One question: Is this supposed to be Melville's jab at Truffaut's "Shoot the Piano Player"?
