Review of Le Samouraï (1967) by George S — 25 Aug 2008
Not sure what everyone loves so much about this one. This isnt the idea I have associated with "French cool," and it's not particularly cool. This is just cold minimalism, and minimalism shouldn't be an end in itself.
The title is really connected with nothing in the story. Just some reference to give the illusion of a depth that I really don't think is there.
