A great French flick by legendary director Jean-Pierre Melville. Alain Delon is ice cool as a highly-detailed hitman whose bare bones existence lends itself to a world of silence. We never see what is inside "le samourai's" mind, just that he will let nothing get in the way of doing his next job.
