Review of Le Mans (1971) by Daniel P — 01 Sep 2012

There's not much of a story in this movie, but that's not what it's about. McQueen wanted to focus on the race and the cars... to that end he did a good job. The actual race footage and the sound of the cars make you feel like you're right there.

Expect to be entertained by the realistic race action and not the story, which in true Hollywood fashion, is sentimental and predictable.
