Review of Le Mans (1971) by Brandon M — 13 Jun 2011
After getting off to a moderately slow start, Le Mans kicks it into top gear and stars to come into its own tense, suspenseful racing film. What makes this a proper racing film is the amount of actual footage, without extraneous cuts.
The film lets the roaring engines do the talking. The dialogue gets better as the film goes on, as does the riveting Porsche v. Ferrari battle. You'll be encompassed in the film in no time.
