It's hard not to fall in love with this quirky little Finnish film. The way it embraces everyday circumstances and fate with its twisted sense of humor and slight commentary is a remarkable style. Writer/Director Kaurismäki seems intent on covering the clichà (C) drama with a thick layer of irony.
Every performance and camera move slyly evokes classic cinematic conventions.
